Where we had dinner..... |
Dear Family and Friends,
This week was full of unexpected happenings. So sounds like a mission to me. We had a great week! First of all I would like to talk about Sharmmany. She is 14 and her grandma is an inactive member of the church. She is the CUTEST thing ever. I have never seen anyone want to be baptized so much! She is on date for the
12th of June! :) It will come by so fast! We had a few lessons with her this week. She reads the Book of Mormon every day and marks it. She doesn't have a lot of support from her family, which is sad. But the ward is stepping up and giving her rides and having lessons in their home. She came to church
on Sunday and made Sister Empey and I bracelets and got us a little music statue thing from Goodwill. haha :) She is the most innocent and Christ-like person. She knows the gospel is true with all her heart. She is the SWEETEST! We just love her! I'll get pictures of her this next week!
Our other investigators are doing well! Still there dads won't let them be baptized. But I'm sure they will soon!! But I must tell you about the day we had
on Saturday. That day I was so tired in the morning. I didn't want to run or work out, but I knew I would regret it if I didn't. So I ran about six miles and then felt great. But after my studies I got really tired again.. But off we went! We went to find this former investigator out in the boons. We were driving and had no idea where this address was taking us. Out of no where, comes these trailers and we found hers. So we knock and this ginger with a really long pony tail, a bandana and no shirt on says come in I'll go get Tracey (the lady we were looking for) and so we did. Haha. He got her and we had a nice conversation about the Book of Mormon. We will be going back to see her this week.
Next a member wanted to have us over for lunch. I was slightly hoping to go home and take a nap during lunch. Which isn't usually what I do. But I was SOO tired. I didn't think I could get through the day without it. But off we went to the Andersons. Best family EVER! They just moved into the ward and are already the most active family. They gave me some strength to go out and work the rest of the day. To make a long story short--that day we were so busy, going from place to place. We saw so many miracles and found many cool service opportunities. We had lessons with a few less actives and saw so many people. Even for driving in the boons all day. At the end of the day, we were exhausted, but we felt so good about the work we did that day. I know without a doubt the we can to so much more with the strength of the Lord than we could ever on our own. I know Christ carried us that day. We hope to see many other miracles come from the work we did that day.
The mission is really hard. Especially closer to the end. But I know that this gospel is true and it is my blessing to be able to serve the people here and bring them the joy that comes with Christ in our lives! I love you all! Have a great week
Love,
Sister Adamson
